( KOROTANY ) ਨੰਗਲ, 19 ਅਗਸਤ: ਭਾਖੜਾ ਡੈਮ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਫੈਲ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਅਫ਼ਵਾਹਾਂ ਦਰਮਿਆਨ ਨੰਗਲ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਨੇ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਸਪੱਸ਼ਟ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਘਬਰਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਬਜਾਏ ਸਾਵਧਾਨ ਰਹਿਣ ਦੀ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਐੱਸਡੀਐੱਮ ਨੰਗਲ ਸਚਿਨ ਪਾਠਕ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਭਾਖੜਾ ਡੈਮ ਦਾ ਜਲ ਪੱਧਰ ਇਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਖ਼ਤਰੇ ਦੇ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਤੋਂ ਕਰੀਬ 55 ਫੁੱਟ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਡੈਮ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਣੀ ਦਾ ਡਿਸਚਾਰਜ ਨਿਯਮਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਯੰਤਰਣ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।

ਅੱਜ ਸਵੇਰੇ ਕਰੀਬ 6 ਵਜੇ ਦਰਜ ਕੀਤੇ ਅੰਕੜਿਆਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਭਾਖੜਾ ਡੈਮ ਦਾ ਜਲ ਪੱਧਰ 1625.43 ਫੁੱਟ ਰਿਕਾਰਡ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ, ਜਦਕਿ ਖ਼ਤਰੇ ਦਾ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ 1680 ਫੁੱਟ ਹੈ। ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਾਗਰ ਝੀਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਆਮਦ 46,438 ਕਿਊਸਿਕ ਦਰਜ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਭਾਖੜਾ ਡੈਮ ਦੀਆਂ ਟਰਬਾਈਨਾਂ ਰਾਹੀਂ 25,106 ਕਿਊਸਿਕ ਪਾਣੀ ਛੱਡਿਆ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।

ਐੱਸਡੀਐੱਮ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਨੰਗਲ ਡੈਮ ਤੋਂ ਆਨੰਦਪੁਰ ਹਾਈਡਲ ਨਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ 10,150 ਕਿਊਸਿਕ ਅਤੇ ਨੰਗਲ ਹਾਈਡਲ ਨਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ 12,150 ਕਿਊਸਿਕ ਪਾਣੀ ਛੱਡਿਆ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਨੰਗਲ ਹਾਈਡਲ ਨਹਿਰ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਬੀਬੀਐੱਮਬੀ ਦੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗੀ ਰਾਜਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਪਾਣੀ ਮੁਹੱਈਆ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਨੰਗਲ ਡੈਮ ਤੋਂ ਸਤਲੁਜ ਦਰਿਆ ਵਿੱਚ 1,000 ਕਿਊਸਿਕ ਪਾਣੀ ਛੱਡਿਆ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।

ਐੱਸਡੀਐੱਮ ਸਚਿਨ ਪਾਠਕ ਨੇ ਸਤਲੁਜ ਦਰਿਆ ਦੇ ਕੰਢੇ ਅਤੇ ਖੱਡਾਂ ਨੇੜੇ ਵੱਸਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਖ਼ਾਸ ਸਾਵਧਾਨੀ ਵਰਤਣ ਦੀ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਹਿਮਾਚਲ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਬਾਰਿਸ਼ ਕਾਰਨ ਦਰਿਆਵਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਖੱਡਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਣੀ ਦਾ ਪੱਧਰ ਅਚਾਨਕ ਵੱਧ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਲੋਕ ਤੇਜ਼ ਵਹਾਅ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਰੀ ਬਣਾਈ ਰੱਖਣ ਅਤੇ ਬਰਸਾਤ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਦਰਿਆਵਾਂ ਜਾਂ ਖੱਡਾਂ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਜਾਣ ਤੋਂ ਗੁਰੇਜ਼ ਕਰਨ।

ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਨੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਅਫ਼ਵਾਹ &dhapos;ਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਅਧਿਕਾਰਤ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ &dhapos;ਤੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਕਰਨ। ਬਰਸਾਤ ਦੇ ਮੌਸਮ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਦਿਆਂ ਨੰਗਲ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸਥਿਤੀ &dhapos;ਤੇ 24 ਘੰਟੇ ਨਿਗਰਾਨੀ ਰੱਖੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।

Bhakra Dam water level 55 feet below danger mark, no need to panic: SDM Nangal

( KOROTANY ) Nangal, August 19 : Amid various rumors spreading about Bhakra Dam, Nangal administration has clarified the situation and appealed to the people to be careful instead of panicking. SDM Nangal Sachin Pathak said that the water level of Bhakra Dam is currently about 55 feet below the danger mark and water discharge from the dam is being done as per the rules and regulations.

According to the data recorded at around 6 am today, the water level of Bhakra Dam was recorded at 1625.43 feet, while the danger mark is 1680 feet. The inflow of water into Gobind Sagar Lake has been recorded at 46,438 cusecs. 25,106 cusecs of water is being released through the turbines of Bhakra Dam.

According to the SDM, 10,150 cusecs of water is being released from Nangal Dam into Anandpur Hydel Canal and 12,150 cusecs into Nangal Hydel Canal. Water is provided to BBMB partner states as per their demand through Nangal Hydel Canal. Apart from this, 1,000 cusecs of water is being released from Nangal Dam into Sutlej River.

SDM Sachin Pathak has appealed to the people living on the banks of Sutlej River and near the gorges to take special precautions. He said that due to the continuous rains in Himachal Pradesh, the water level in rivers and gorges may rise suddenly. Therefore, people should keep away from places with fast flow and avoid going near rivers or gorges during the rains.
